New 2017 Honda Ridgeline v. Chevy Silverado v. Ford F-150 in Rock Drop Challenge

June 16th, 2016 by

The new 2017 Honda Ridgeline, coming out in the very near future, has been an exciting story to follow for many reasons, from its radical design to the many “concerning” questions regarding its toughness and durability.

In response to any doubts the public may have about its toughness, Honda recently challenged two of the toughest truck brands out there (Chevy and Ford) in a bed-toughness competition. The new Ridgeline truck bed utilizes a composite material that doesn’t rust or dent when beat up.

Check out the durability of the new 2017 Honda Ridgeline truck bed in the following clip “2017 Honda Ridgeline Rock Drop.”

Now see how the Chevy Silverado, with a steel truck bed, and the Ford F-150, with an aluminum truck bed, fared in the same challenge.

In our opinion, the Honda Ridgeline has a huge upper-hand in toughness over “Chevy Strong” and “Ford Tough,” which is exciting to see especially in a category typically dominated by those two brands.
